Yusu’s paper was published in ACS Central Science. It’s a new method to measure adhesive properties at extremely high throughput. We collaborated with the Tullman-Ercek and Shull groups. Congrats Yusu!

We’ve had a busy summer! First, we are honored to be included in the 100th Anniversary of Macromolecular Science series of viewpoints in ACS Macro Letters. We wrote a long article on advanced optical microscopy techniques in polymer science. Although he is no longer with us, Zhe also came back with a big lift.

Next, Ruimeng published a paper in Advanced Functional Materials, showing how we can control the periodicity of block copolymers using in-film polymerization, and then modulate the photonic properties of thin films.

Finally, Tyler was co-first on a paper with the Shull group and our collaborators at Dow, in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. The paper is a nice description of the elastomer materials that he is working on.

Mitchell has won the 2020 Cole-Higgins Teaching Award! This is awarded to one tenure-track faculty member in the McCormick School of Engineering each year. We are really grateful for this honor!
